Description
Celebrate the 4th of July with festive white chocolate dipped Oreos decorated with red and blue candy melts and patriotic sprinkles. These easy-to-make treats are perfect for parties and patriotic celebrations.

- 20 regular Oreos or double stuffed
Chocolate Coating
- 12 oz white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate bar or white candy melts
- 3 tbsp red candy melts
- 3 tbsp blue candy melts
- Patriotic sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare baking sheet: Line one large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Melt white chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds to prevent burning.
- Dip Oreos: Using a regular fork or dipping fork, gently dip each Oreo into the melted white chocolate, shaking off excess chocolate before placing it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all Oreos are coated.
- Chill chocolates: Place the chocolate-covered Oreos in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until the coating is fully set.
- Melt colored candy melts: In separate small bowls, melt the red and blue candy melts. Transfer melted candy melts into plastic ziplock bags and cut a small tip off each bag for drizzling.
- Decorate Oreos: Drizzle the red and blue candy melts over the white chocolate-covered Oreos. Immediately sprinkle patriotic sprinkles on top.
- Set decorations: Let the decorated Oreos set again in the fridge until the candy melt drizzle is firm, about 10 minutes.
Notes
- Store the finished Oreos in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
- Separate layers of Oreos with parchment or wax paper to prevent sticking.
- For easier chocolate melting, use white candy melts instead of white chocolate chips if preferred, but expect a slightly different flavor.
- Be careful not to overheat the chocolate to avoid burning or seizing.
