Description

These Pretzel Bones are a fun and spooky treat perfect for Halloween or any themed party, combining crunchy pretzels, gooey marshmallows, and a smooth white chocolate coating.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 80 mini marshmallows
  • 40 pretzel sticks
  • 16 oz white candy melting chips or white candy melts

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure the pretzel bones do not stick after dipping.
  2. Assemble Bones: Push a mini marshmallow onto each end of a pretzel stick to form a bone shape.
  3. Melt White Candy: Heat the white candy melting chips in the microwave for 45 seconds, stir well, then continue heating in 15-second increments, stirring between, until completely melted and smooth.
  4. First Dip: Using a fork, dip each assembled pretzel bone into the melted white candy, coating it completely. Shake off excess chocolate and place it carefully on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Chill First Layer: Place the tray in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to allow the white candy coating to set.
  6. Trim Excess Chocolate: If any excess chocolate has dripped and hardened unevenly, use a sharp knife to trim it off for a cleaner look.
  7. Reheat Chocolate: Heat the remaining white candy melts for another 30 seconds and stir to keep it smooth for the second dip.
  8. Second Dip: Dip each pretzel bone again to double coat them, shaking off any excess, and return them to the parchment-lined tray.
  9. Final Chill: Refrigerate the pretzel bones for a final 10 minutes to set the chocolate layers completely.

Notes

  • Use sturdy pretzel sticks to prevent breaking when assembling and dipping.
  • If white candy melts start to thicken, reheat gently in short bursts to maintain a smooth consistency.
  • For cleaner edges, use a sharp knife to trim excess chocolate after the first dip.
  • Store pretzel bones in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.
  • Optional: Add edible glitter or decorations before the second coat sets for extra festive flair.
