Ingredients
Scale
Fruits
- 1 pound strawberries (456 g), mostly thawed if frozen
- ¼ cup blueberries (45 g), fresh preferred for color
- ½ cup grapes (115 g), red or purple
Other Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 6 tablespoons maple syrup
- 3 cups cold sparkling water (710 ml)
Instructions
- Blend the fruits and citrus: Combine the strawberries, blueberries, grapes, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a blender. Blend on high until smooth. If needed, add a small amount of sparkling water to help blend, but add most of it later to retain bubbles.
- Add maple syrup: Add the maple syrup to the blender and blend for just one more second to combine.
- Mix with sparkling water: Pour the blended mixture into a punch bowl and gently stir in the cold sparkling water. Do this just before serving to maintain the bubbly texture and lighten the punch.
- Serve and store: Serve immediately. Cover and refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days, although the punch tastes best fresh due to sparkling water’s carbonation.
Notes
- Use cold sparkling water to preserve bubbliness and keep the punch refreshing without warming it up.
- Fresh blueberries give a better color; frozen blueberries darken the punch.
- If your blender struggles to blend thick fruit, add a little sparkling water but avoid adding it all to keep sparkle alive.
- This punch is best enjoyed immediately rather than stored due to loss of bubbles over time.
