Description

Create spooky Halloween Spider Energy Balls using chocolate energy balls, candy eyeballs, and licorice or fruit leather legs. These fun and easy no-bake treats are perfect for Halloween parties and snacks.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • energy balls, preferably chocolate (e.g., chocolate bliss balls) – quantity as desired
  • candy eyeballs – 2 per energy ball
  • black licorice laces or dark fruit leather (blueberry, blackberry, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Add eyeballs: Press two candy eyeballs onto each energy ball gently, ensuring they stick well to the surface.
  2. Attach legs: Cut the licorice laces or fruit leather into thin strips around 1-2 inches long. Carefully insert 4 legs on each side of the energy ball to resemble spider legs.
  3. Repeat: Repeat the eyeball and leg attachment process for all energy balls you want to decorate and serve as Halloween spider snacks.

Notes

  • Use soft energy balls for easier decorating. Soft and sticky varieties like date-based chocolate energy balls work best.
  • If energy balls have been refrigerated, let them come to room temperature to soften before applying eyes and legs.
  • You can substitute black licorice with other dark colored flexible candy such as fruit leather for the legs.
