Description

Delightfully festive Grinch Oreo Balls made with red velvet Oreos, creamy filling, and coated in vibrant green candy melts. Finished with red heart sprinkles, these no-bake truffles are a perfect sweet treat for the holiday season or any fun occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 package Red velvet Oreos (22 cookies)
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 7 oz green candy melts
  • Red heart sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Oreo dough: In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form. Add the cream cheese and mix again until a soft dough forms.
  3. Shape the truffles: Using a 1 tablespoon measuring spoon, scoop out the dough, roll it between the palms of your hands into balls, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all dough is used. Chill in the freezer for 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Melt the candy melts: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. If the mixture is too thick for dipping, add 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil or any neutral oil and mix well.
  5. Dip the truffles: Use a chocolate dipping fork to coat each truffle evenly with the melted candy. Place dipped truffles back onto the baking sheet. Repeat with all truffles.
  6. Decorate: Place the leftover melted candy in a piping bag and drizzle over the truffles. Immediately add a red heart sprinkle on top of each truffle to recreate the iconic Grinch heart.
  7. Set and serve: Allow the coated and decorated truffles to set in the fridge for a few minutes until firm, then enjoy your festive treats.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture and flavor.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, place the Oreo cookies in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin until finely ground.
  • Adding oil to the candy melts thins the coating and makes dipping smoother.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a different look, try using white chocolate candy melts tinted green with food coloring.
