Description

These easy Oreo truffles are a delicious no-bake treat made by combining crushed Oreos with cream cheese, then dipping them in melted chocolate for a rich and indulgent dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 36 Oreos Original, not double stuffed
  • 1 package cream cheese, full fat, 8 oz package
  • 2-3 cups melted chocolate, white (can be replaced with semisweet chocolate)
  • ¼ cup additional Oreos, crushed, for topping

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Add the Oreos to a food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbs.
  2. Combine with Cream Cheese: Add the cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs and pulse until fully combined into a dough-like mixture.
  3. Shape Balls: Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into small balls using your hands.
  4. Chill Truffles: Place the balls on a cookie tray lined with wax paper or parchment paper and chill in the freezer for about 20 minutes to firm up.
  5. Dip in Chocolate: Remove the truffles from the freezer and dip each ball into a bowl of melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
  6. Decorate: Place the dipped truffles back on the lined cookie tray and optionally sprinkle with some of the crushed Oreos on top before the chocolate sets.
  7. Set Chocolate: Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for 15-20 minutes until firm.
  8. Serve: Enjoy your delicious Oreo truffles immediately or store as desired.

Notes

  • Read all the tips carefully before starting for the best consistency.
  • Leftover truffles can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • If you do not have a food processor, place Oreos in a sealed plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  • Full-fat cream cheese gives the best texture and flavor; low-fat versions may alter the consistency.
  • Use wax or parchment paper to prevent sticking during chilling and setting.
  • Choose your preferred chocolate type for dipping; white, semisweet, or milk chocolate all work well.
