Description

Cranberry Brie Bites are delightful bite-sized appetizers featuring creamy brie cheese topped with tangy whole berry cranberry sauce and a hint of fresh rosemary, all nestled in a golden, flaky crescent dough. Perfect for holiday parties and gatherings, these easy-to-make bites bake to a light golden brown in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 8 ounce crescent dough sheet (or crescent rolls)
  • all-purpose flour (for dusting the dough and cutting board)

Filling

  • 8 ounce wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce (not jellied)
  • fresh rosemary sprig (about 2 sprigs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Muffin Tin: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray a 24-count mini muffin tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Dough: Spread a little all-purpose flour on your counter or cutting board. Roll out the 8-ounce crescent dough sheet flat. If using crescent rolls, pinch the seams together to form one long sheet. Cut the dough into 24 equal-sized squares.
  3. Place Dough in Muffin Tin: Place each crescent dough square into the slots of the prepared mini muffin tin, pressing gently to fit.
  4. Add Brie Cheese: Cut the 8-ounce wheel of brie cheese into small pieces and place one piece inside each dough square in the muffin tin.
  5. Add Cranberry Sauce: Spoon a generous amount of whole berry cranberry sauce on top of each piece of brie.
  6. Top with Rosemary: Add a small piece of fresh rosemary sprig to each bite for added aroma and flavor.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the crescent dough is a light golden brown.
  8. Serve: Remove from oven and serve the bites warm for the best flavor experience.

Notes

  • Removing the rind from the brie is optional; some prefer to leave it on for added texture and flavor.
  • If you don’t have a 24-count mini muffin tin, you can use a 12 or 18-count tin and bake in batches.
  • Use whole berry cranberry sauce, not jellied, for better texture and taste.
