Ingredients

Scale

Wet Ingredients

  • 5 very ripe bananas about 1 2/3 cup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil (any type, coconut oil recommended)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Add-ins

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 15×10.5 inch baking pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
  2. Mash Bananas and Mix Wet Ingredients: Peel the bananas and mash them well in a large bowl. Stir in brown sugar, oil, milk, and eggs until the mixture is combined.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon to the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  4. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in half of the mini chocolate chips into the batter.
  5. Spread Batter and Add Topping: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining half of the chocolate chips evenly over the top.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 22 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into 24 squares. Enjoy your chocolate chip banana bars!
