Description

A creamy, savory baked bacon blue cheese dip that’s perfect for parties and gatherings, combining smooth cream cheese, tangy blue cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh green onions.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 6 ounces blue cheese crumbles, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 5 bacon slices, crumbled
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green onions or chives, plus more to top

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a small baking dish with nonstick spray. Set aside.
  2. Mix Base: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
  3. Add Blue Cheese and Garlic Powder: Add half of the blue cheese crumbles and all of the garlic powder to the mixture, then continue to beat until well combined.
  4. Fold in Mix-Ins: Fold in the crumbled bacon, chopped green onions or chives, and the remaining blue cheese crumbles until evenly distributed throughout the dip.
  5. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spoon the dip mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown, about 18 minutes.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, top with additional green onions or chives, and serve the dip warm with bread, crackers, chips, or vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest texture.
  • Substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
  • Keep the dip warm by placing it in an oven-safe serving dish or warming it briefly before serving.
  • For extra smoky flavor, use smoked bacon.
  • Blue cheese crumbles can be replaced with gorgonzola or stilton if desired.
