Description

Enjoy a festive and flavorful Apple Cider Margarita, perfectly balanced with apple cider, tequila, and a cinnamon sugar rim that adds a touch of sweetness and spice. This cozy cocktail is ideal for fall gatherings and easy to prepare in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Cinnamon Sugar Rim

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 lime wedges

Margarita Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup apple cider (6 ounces)
  • 3 ounces tequila
  • 2 tablespoons apple butter
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup (optional, for a sweeter cocktail)
  • 1 ounce Cointreau
  • 1-2 cups ice (for shaking and serving)

Optional Garnishes

  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Apple slices

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Rim: Mix cinnamon and sugar in a shallow bowl. Use a lime wedge to moisten the rim of each cocktail glass, then dip and swirl the rims in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Set the glasses aside for at least 2 minutes to let the rim harden.
  2. Shake the Margarita: Combine apple cider, tequila, apple butter, agave syrup, and Cointreau in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice to the top, secure the lid, and shake vigorously until the shaker is frosted.
  3. Serve: Strain the cocktail evenly into the prepared cinnamon sugar rimmed glasses. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and apple slices if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • Serve margaritas right away as they do not store well or maintain quality as leftovers.
  • You can substitute lime wedges with lemon or orange wedges for rimming the glasses.
  • If you prefer a less sweet cocktail, omit the agave syrup.
  • Adjust the amount of ice to control the dilution and chilling of the drink.
